Usability Testing Cycle overview

Recurring evaluation workflow for testing whether real users can accomplish key tasks with an interface effectively, efficiently, and with satisfaction. The UX researcher develops a test plan with scenarios, success criteria, and a screener for recruiting representative participants. Moderated or unmoderated sessions are conducted remotely or in person, capturing task completion rates, time-on-task, error rates, and verbal think-aloud data. Findings are synthesised into a usability report and ranked by severity. The product designer and development team triage issues into the design backlog and schedule fixes before the next release milestone.
