Optimizes data warehouse costs while maintaining query performance and SLA adherence -- analyzing query-cost attribution by team, dashboard, and ad-hoc usage patterns, identifying expensive scans caused by missing partitioning or clustering, evaluating storage-tier placement for hot, warm, and cold data based on access frequency, reviewing materialized-view cost-benefit against the queries they accelerate, assessing slot or compute-reservation sizing against peak-demand profiles, modeling cost impact of migrating workloads between on-demand and flat-rate pricing, and implementing query-governance policies for runaway queries. Produces cost optimization report and implementation runbook. Excludes data-model redesign.
